The taxi's were not running again today because of no gasoline. That keeps our Gugeegue members from joining us for worship service. Thank God you have so many things always ready for your use.
Pray for the church here this week. We have had a land dispute with the king and landowner for the last 4 1/2 yrs. we have been here (It is a long story). Lee and I are going to make an attempt to see the king and landowner to start using our building again on Gugeegue. IF we get back in the building, we will have the problem each week of getting the taxi's over to Gugeegue and back. The road is so bad that some of the taxi's do not have a spare tire and do not want to chance getting one or more flat tires on the trip. Another problem is the the gas being available to run the vehicles. Pray that God will guide us in the way he wants us to go.
The Marshallese
society is generally stratified into three general classes: Iroij or chief;
Alap or clan head; and Rijerbal or commoner/worker. Iroij has the ultimate control of such things
as land tenure, resources use and distribution, dispute settlement, etc. Alap’s duties include maintenance of lands
and supervision of daily activities.
Rijerbal are responsible for daily work involved in subsistence,
construction, agriculture, etc.
