2012 Marshallese Mission

The Angels were rejoicing when two more brothers were baptised.
Peterson was blessed to baptise both brothers.
Paul and Dan built a computer room at the church building for our teachers to use to prepare lessons to teach our children's Bible classes.

They also built a storage closet to put our teaching materials in that have been collected at my house for the last four years. This will allow our teachers to learn so much more by working up their own lessons.
Thank you Paul and Dan for doing so much work at the church building and most of all for your willingness to share God's word at any time with everyone.

God bless you both for making the 2012 Mission so successful.

Rejoice!

The Angels are rejoicing with two more brothers in Christ.  Bundy confessed Christ and was baptised for the remission of his sins.
Ron was also baptised.  Ron is the son of Peterson, who alternately preaches every other week in Marshallese to his people.
Both brothers shared their desire to preach God's word. We pray that God will guide them both through out their lives and their walk with Jesus to heaven.

To God's Glory

Paul Hester delivered our sermon Thursday night.  Paul always does a good job on everything he does.
We are showing a movie before the sermons that follows the scriptures from Matthew.  It is a good tool to pull the kids in.  They are little sponges.
Dan did a great job delivering the sermon last night.

Lee & I ride the ferry to Ebeye each night to church.  The Marshallese workers ride the ferry back and forth to work on Kwaj every day. We stick out among the boat load of workers. There was a worker who was drunk that talked to us on Wed. night.  On Thurs night he was drunk again but was looking for a way out of alcoholism. He was sober last night and we gave him a Marshallese Bible. Peterson is going to help him find his way from alcohol to God's word. To God be the glory!  It is amazing how many doors HE will open .

Day One of Meeting

Dan blessed us with a wonderful lesson from God's word on our first night of the Gospel Meeting.
We had several visitors and we are praying for God to open many hearts during the meeting.

Paul and Dan have been building storage shelves for our Bible class materials at the church building.  Lee and I have a desk top computer we are donating.  Lee was given a copier and we bought a scanner with some generous donations. Thanks to Paul, Dan and Lee, we have a work room for our teachers. Thanks guys for all your hard work.

In God's House

We worshiped in the Gugeegue church building on Sunday.  It was a beautiful sunny day and it was glorious to be back in the house that God built. Their were a lot of kids that were taught by our wonderful sister in Christ.
A week after Lee and I arrived on Kwajalein, Paul Hester arrived with a church building in a shipping container, along with two other preachers/builders. Paul Hester has returned every year since to do mission work in the Marshall Islands. He works on finishing and repairs to the church building and brings a different preacher/builder with him. All expenses paid out of their own pockets.
This year Paul brought Dan Holder with him.  Both brothers are from Huntsville, AL. Paul and Dan did a wonderful job teaching God's word to us Sunday. They will be holding a Gospel Meeting, Wednesday through Sunday.

Praise God for their safe trip to the Marshall Islands.  Pray for God to open many hearts during the Gospel Meeting.

Gospel Meeting Starts Next Sunday

We had a wonderful worship service Sunday.  Everyone had returned from their Christmas celebrations.

Paul Hester and Dan Holder will arrive Saturday, Jan. 14th and we will meet for our worship service at the Gugeegue church of Christ building on Sunday, Jan 15th. We will meet in the Ebeye Community Building Wednesday, Jan.18th - 22nd

The missionary work with the Ebeye/Gugeegue church is supported by individuals from many parts of the world.  Paul and Dan raised some support for their expenses, but a lot of those expenses are paid from their own pockets. Thank you, Paul and Dan.

Please pray for a safe trip for Paul and Dan and a fruitful Gospel Meeting.

Preparing for the Missionaries

Our numbers at church after Christmas are always down.  The Marshallese people prepare for Christmas for months and celebrate for weeks, before and after Christmas day.

We are preparing for Paul Hester and Dan Holder to bring God's word to the Marshallese people. They will be working on the church building to make repairs and improvements.

More importantly, they will be holding Gospel Meetings and talking to people about their souls.  Please pray for a safe and successful missionary trip for Paul and Dan.

Lee took his bike on the ferry this morning loaded with boxes Paul sent to work on the church building.  Lee will ride his bike from Ebeye to Gugeegue to the church building and back again.  It is a very lousy road and not easy to take in a pick-up truck, and even harder to take on a bike.
