You don't see pretty Easter bonnets, new clothes, shoes or Easter baskets brimming with toys, plastic eggs and candy. The kids get real boiled eggs. We don't have tables and chairs to sit at in class. But, our little sponges did soak up the story of Jesus Christ and how he rose from the dead to live again. Some of the members took the kids on a picnic for lunch and some Easter fun.
The Ebeye public school has replaced the crumbling stairs on one section of their school and it has been reopened.
Another part has been closed and they are working on repairing that section of the school.
Thank you to Bonnie Howell for sending some clothes for the kids. The Mothers were grateful for the little boys clothes, and the girls were thrilled to have something new.
We have had several members in the Ebeye hospital lately. Thank You God, all are fine now. You have to bring your own sheets and blankets to use during your stay in the hospital. They put four hospital beds in a 15'x15' room. The one 'private room' I saw had a two foot clearance around the foot and one side of the bed. I have heard that this hospital is better than the one in the capitol.
Thank you Lord for our blessings!
