Thursday Gospel Meeting

Cala made it to the Gospel Meeting last night.  She is one of our members who is diabetic.  Her foot became infected and she almost lost her leg & foot. She was in the hospital for at least a month.  Praise God for her healing and we pray for her complete healing.

The kids have figured out they can get a snack after the services. We had a good crowd last night considering we had an Oklahoma style thunder storm. You can't tell it by this pic, but the community building is open on both sides and closed on the ends with a tin roof.  The lightening was close so the thunder was booming.  It was raining so hard we could not hear the sound on the loud speakers. Most of the Marshallese use water catchments for their water needs.  Thank you Lord for filling up the water catchments.  Wayne did a wonderful job delivering God's word. Paul & Wayne are working on repairs to the church house during the day and preaching God's word every night.  Praise God he has given Paul and Wayne so many talents. Thank you guys for working so hard while you are here.

Wednesday Night Service

The guys hung a banner outside the Community Center.  They had quite an audience.
We had a good crowd Wed. night.  Paul has been showing parts of movies about the Bible before church starts each night, Paul & Wayne are using power point and pictures to enhance their sermons. Thank God for such luxuries.
Here is double trouble.  They are so cute and sweet as they could be.

Landed

Paul and Wayne made it to the Marshall Islands yesterday. They were weary, but fine. It is a long trip and with the time difference, it seems twice as long.

Thank you to Thomas & Bonnie Howell for sending a check to support this mission trip to Ebeye & Gugeegue.
How many guys does it take to hang a banner?  There was room for one more guy on the other ladder.

Lee & I lived through the second tsunami in the three years. Both times the tide was out so the tsunami passed without any problems. Thank you Lord for watching out for the Marshall Islands.
For church this morning, Paul taught the adult Bible class, Heity taught the kids Bible class, Lee lead singing, Peterson lead some songs in the Marshallese language and Wayne preached the sermon. We had a good crowd.
Pray the Gospel Meeting we will hold Wednesday through Sunday will be a blessing to God and all who attend.

Cabinet/Podium

Lee finished building the cabinet to keep our song books, Bibles and bible class supplies stored in during the week. Keeping our books stored away from the harsh ocean air should help preserve them a little longer. Wood and parts are hard to find over here. Where is Home Depot when you need one?  It took almost a month to get it from Kwaj to Ebeye. It is the way things work on Kwaj.  Great job Lee!

Paul and Wayne have worked really hard getting things ready to preach God's word to the souls from Ebeye and Gugeegue.  They will be here on Saturday morning.  Pray for their safe travels and a successful mission trip.

Boxes, Boxes, Boxes

Look at those precious souls!  They are the reason the Lord has called us all to his work on Ebeye/Gugeegue.  They are the future of the church here.
We have had a lot of cloudy, rainy days lately but Sunday was sunny, bright and very warm.

Paul has sent a bunch of boxes loaded with supplies for Wayne and him to use repairing the church house. Lee hauled the lightest boxes to church yesterday.  Peterson went back with our members who live on Gugeegue to carry the boxes into the church building.  Lee is taking the heaviest boxes this morning to Gugeegue. Praise God for all the hard workers who have been putting this mission trip in motion.
