Day of Worship

We had a good group for our Sunday service. Jim Long lead singing. Irene, one of our Marshallese sisters, did a great job teaching the kids a Bible story. Paul Hester did a great job on the sermon. Lee left this morning (Monday) to help the guys work on the building on his day off. God is Good! Thank you to Brad & Sandra Dodd who sent cash to help out with the extra expenses for taxi's. God Bless you for your generosity.

They Made It!

Paul Hester (in the hat) and Jim Long made it to Kwajalein. They caught the ferry to Ebeye. Thank you Lord for their safe travels. Lee bought two 24 ft ladders to use on painting the outside of the church building in Gugeegue. He rigged the ladders up with our trailer and my tricycle to pull them over to the dock so Paul and Jim could take them over to the church building. We also had a patio table and a paint sprayer. They have plenty to keep them busy. It will be easier for Paul & Jim to take the ladders over to Gugeegue because they will not have anyone in the back of the taxi (pick up). When Lee and I go over on Sundays, we have a pick up load of kids and adults going to church with us. Please pray they will have a productive time finishing the church building and especially a productive gospel meeting. Praise HIS name!

In Concert

Lee decided a year ago that after more years than he wanted to remember since Jr High School he would attempt to play the tuba again. He practiced once a week while school was going. He took the tuba to his warehouse office to practice after work during the summer. The Kwajalein Community Band had their last concert of the year last night. Way to go Lee! Great Job! (Lee is in the back row.)

Learning God's Word

We had a good number of kids this week. I have been coming up with the lesson plans but letting the Marshallese sisters teach the lessons to the kids. That way the little ones understand what is being taught in their own language. It is working out well for the kids to understand the lessons. I don't mind coming up with the lessons but I am trying to get things organized so the sisters can plan their own lessons if they prefer to do so. Whatever works as long as the kids understand what is being taught. I bought some plastic chairs for the adults to sit on. They aren't fancy, but they give more support to adult backs than the benches do. Hopefully in the future we can work on getting better chairs. Let the preaching start and someone goes to sleep no matter where in the world you are. Please pray for Paul Hester and Jim Long who will be traveling to Gugeegue this week. I said Jim was an elder, but I got the facts wrong. Jim is a deacon. Sorry Jim, you have been demoted this week. We are looking forward to meeting Jim and working with him the three weeks they will be here. Please pray the building will be completed and that we will have a successful gospel meeting while they are here.

Pray For Our Gospel Meeting

Paul Hester and a Brother will be here February 20th until March 10th. They will be holding a gospel meeting while here. They will also be working on the building attempting to finish the inside and painting the outside. Please pray for their safe trip to Kwajalein and back to their homes as well as a successful gospel meeting. We received several boxes from the Walnut Church of Christ in Texarkana, TX. You guys Rock! Thank you once again for your generosity.
