4th of July Fun

We had a great celebration for the 4th of July. Sunset was beautiful. They shot the fireworks off from the bardge in the lagoon. It was a beautiful display. Thank you to my cousin, Liesl Waldum, who sent some kids cloths that her friend gave her to send to our families at church. They went really fast. God Bless you both for thinking of others. Hope everyone has a great 4th.

Back to Worship

Our numbers have been down since we returned from vacation in the states and Hawaii. Pull out a camera and the kids are willing to give you some kind of pose. The kids that stayed with us are great to work with. The church building is 90% finished. Paul Hester, the preacher who helped start the Gugeegue church of Christ is coming to help finish the building and to hold a Meeting for two weeks in August. With God's help I think our numbers will go back up. We really would like to get more Marshalleese men interested in being leaders in the church. Please keep God's little church in Gugeegue in your prayers.

Honolulu

We had a great time while in Honolulu. One of the views from our hotel room. It was a really nice, huge hotel. There were several buildings like the one in the pic. I got Lee to wear his Hawaiian shirt.

Luau

We went to a Luau while in Honolulu. It was lots of fun. We had diner at the Luau and met some really nice people. We are not fish eaters. It was hard to find something that wasn't fish related but they finally ran a piece of beef in at the end.

USS Arizona

We visited the USS Arizona Memorial while in Hawaii. The ship rests just below the surface with a few of the tallest parts just above the surface. We went through the USS Bowfin that is a submarine that was used during WWII. Living in such tight quarters would not be my thing. I like my quarters to be at least as big as a small island.
